With Clip Studio SHARE, you can publish your multi-page stories and artwork in an online reader format.
- Share your story on social media and other sites simply by posting the story URL. With the ability to read multiple pages in a single post, it’s ideal for sharing on social media.
- By adding a secret phrase, you can share your story with a limited group of people.
- You can choose whether or not to accept comments on your story.
- The automatic translation feature translates captions and comments, making global communication possible.
- Change the page order or the reading direction of your story from right to left, left to right, or vertical.
- When setting the reading direction, you can also choose a 2D or 3D viewer as default for your story.
You can preview your printed book data in 3D using Clip Studio Share with these settings.
- If using a foil effect like below, follow these steps.
- In Clip Studio Paint EX, select the area that you want to display in a foil effect.
- Select Layer > New Layer > Clip Studio Share (technology preview) > Foil layer.
- A 3D preview of the foil effect will appear. You can change the color of the foil and test the 3D effect by moving the preview image.
- Click OK to add the layer.
- A layer called “_SH Shiny Layer” will appear at the top of the layer palette. (To correctly display the foil effect in Clip Studio Share, please do not change the layer name, order, or layer type.)
- Hide the foil layer. (The effect will still appear in the viewer even if the layer is hidden.)
- That’s all you need to do to set up your foil effect.
- Use the following steps to set up a spine image.
- If creating a new file
- If adding or editing covers on an existing file
- You can use these paper thickness guidelines to estimate the width of the spine in millimeters. If the book binding size and the manuscript binding size are different, ensure that the spine matches the book binding size.
The foil layer in Clip Studio Paint EX is designed for the 3D viewer in Clip Studio Share, so you can check the effect before getting printed samples. This feature is only available for viewing works published on the SHARE service in 3D and is not suitable for printing or bookbinding purposes. (Please note that the foil layer is for previewing only. Please consult with your printer or publisher separately to confirm the process of adding foil accents to your printed art.)
To add covers to a file, go to the Story menu and select “Change basic work settings”, then turn on “Cover page.”
For “Use of work,” select “Show all comic settings,” then turn on “Cover page.” Set the cover page layout to the left option (two-page spread), and specify the width of the spine. This value indicates the width of the spine.
Click a cover page in the Page Manager window, then go to the Story menu > Change basic page settings. Turn on “Align crop mark.” A “Gap” option will become available. This value indicates the width of the spine.
